Adoption Information
Not every animal is suitable for every home. We take care to understand the needs
and personalities of each animal in our shelter. As a result, we require each
potential adopter to fill out a simple questionnaire to tell us about their lifestyle and
what qualities they are seeking in their future pet. Yes, it is somewhat like online
dating.
With the help of the ASPCA®, we're pleased to introduce 2 new programs:
Meet Your Match™ Canine-ability™ . This program tests the personality of each
dog, and allows us to match them to the lifestyle and expectations of adoption
families. This program looks at each dog's degree of:
Friendliness and sociability
Playfulness
Energy level and ability to focus
Motivation (food, people, toys, etc.)
People manners
This method has been proven to increase the likelihood that you and your new best
friend will form a bond of love, and it reduces the number of dogs returned to
shelters.
Based on the results of your questionnaire, you've be given a color-code: purple,
orange, or green. You will be able to easily find dogs that match "your color" to
know which ones will be the best match for you.
Meet Your Match™ Feline-ality™ . This program tests the personality of each cat,
and allows us to match them to the preferences of adoption families. This program
looks at each cat's:
Enjoyment of being petted and held
Playfulness, "talkativeness" and activity level
Responses to new people and things
This method has been proven to increase the likelihood that you and your new best
friend will form a bond of love, and it reduces the number of cats returned to
shelters.
Based on the results of your questionnaire, you've be given a color-code: purple,
orange, or green. You will be able to easily find cats that match "your color" to
know which ones will be the best match for you.

Adoption Fees:
CATS:
Adults: $75
Kittens under age of 6 months: $100
Senior cats (8 years +) 25 % discount
2 felines adopted at the same time: 25 % discount
Includes: Spay/Neuter surgery, age appropriate vaccines, de-worming, flea
treatment, Fiv/Flv test, micro chip and registration, one month's free health
insurance, cardboard safety carrier
DOGS:
Adults: $115
Puppies, dogs under 20 lb., and purebreds: $135
Senior dogs (8 years +) 25 % discount
Includes: Spay/neuter surgery, age appropriate vaccines, de-worming & flea
treatment, Heartworm test, micro chip and registration, one month's free health
insurance, collar and leash.
There are NO refunds.
The animal may be exchanged within 14 days, if necessary.
*Microchipping is a painless and permanent way to provide your pet with permanent
identification. It is the BEST way to insure his/her return, if lost.
